Congratulations for being the first "ticket-help" poster I've seen who admits his guilt.

Go to court, tell the truth, explain you feel stupid about it, and ask for a break on the fine or points. It'll be a matter of state law whether you CAN get a break, and a matter of your sincerity whether you do get one.
