Lift the rear wheels off the ground.

Be careful, use blocks, engine off, yada, yada.

With the transmission in gear (or in park for an auto.), turn one of the wheels by hand.

If the wheel on the other side turns the same way, you have LSD.

If the wheel on the other side turns the opposite way, you don't have LSD.

limited slip differential. How do I find this out, what should I look for. I just bought the car.

Thanks in advance!

That can't work, If you put an auto trans in park the rear wheels would be locked. If it were manual in gear most people would not have the strength to turn the axle, trans and the engine thru compression cycle.
