ok, underneath the airbag on the passenger side and above the glove box and everything, there is a long and skinny rectangular piece that is upholstered (with leatherette on my car cause thats what ive got everywhere in my car, im not sure if its leather if youve got leather or if this even matters so...)and im wondering if anybody knows whether or not this is part of the airbag or how to if you can, take it off and remove it? thanks, if anyone out there understands


The cleanest way to remove it is to remove glove box and just press out the retaining tabs, you may be able to get away with jewelers screwdrivers and pry it from the outside but it may scuff the material especially since you don't know where tabs are, there is just a blank plastic face under it, whats the problem?
