I have a question about the need for an Underdrive Pulley. I have taken my e30 M3 with a transplanted e36 328is engine to the track the past three weekends. Toward the end of each session, the steering became progessively tougher to control. After returning to the pit area, I checked the fluid, which was toward the bottom of the reservoir. I would fill it up and it would happen again, consistently. I checked for leaks and found no obvious leaks. My instructor, who was a SCCA racer suggested an underdrive pulley to reduce the RPM's around the power steering pump. Are there any other concerns? Would an underdrive pulley solve this problem? Who sells these items? Any opinions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. JOE
