Every 2nd Inspection II would not be sufficient for someone who does not do big mileages. For someone like that, the schedule would go say

Inspection II Jan 2002 (say brake fuid changed)
Oil service Jan 2003
Inspection I Jan 2004
Oil Service Jan 2005
Inspection II Jan 2006
Oil Jan 2007
Inspection I Jan 2008
Oil Jan 2009
Inspection II Jan 2010 (every other inspection 2)

Now I know we all get our cars serviced better than that, but for someone doing lees than 7k miles per year, if you follow the serice lights that would be the schedule. You'll see that every second inspection II would leave a gap of 8 years for brake fuid... Hence the very strict, completely separate, time based indicator

Well my service book says, and I quote:

"If the clock symbol lights up together with the INSPECTION incription, brake fluid renewal is due. The annual check is indicated independently of any maintenance work becoming necessary as a result of normal driving."

In my service book, renewal of brake fluid is NOT listed under Inspection II work.

The dealer has to separately re-set the "annual" indicator. Perhaps the dealer did not reset correctly.

Thats what I initially thought but brake fluids/other fluids get changes during inspection2 or every other inspection 2 so this makes no sense to me, anyone encounter this ?
Thanks
Freddy
