I've hit a squirrel, cat, and even a racoon but never a bird. Poor bird.

i was driving down a country road and a small bird was sitting on the middle white line and flew across the front of the car as i went past. i saw no feathers flying behind me and assumed i didnt hit it. i got to a picnic stop, started eating and looked over at the car and saw the bird, flat on its back against the mesh of the m3 front bar. it had also wedged itself between the mesh and the bottom of the bar. i had to use a stick to pull it out. it was kinda funny at the time. ive had near misses with crows and magpies and other birds. my wife reckons its cause the car is green. they just dont move or fly for the car. ive also hit a bird with my wifes mazda 323. it hit the top of the windshield and flew off.
