Just yank the old ones off and make sure the old hardware comes with it. If you got the moldings from a dealer, they will come with small plastic reinforcements on each attachment tab. Take them off the trim piece and insert them into the holes alongside the car, then attach the molding. Make sure it fits flush with the door.
how difficult is is to install new mouldings going from stock to the m3 type
Very easy, you don't even need tools as your hands are sufficient to pull the old mouldings off. Gotta be one of the easiest upgrades there is. And I feel it is an upgrade, as the M mouldings just match up with the rest of the mouldings vs. the non-M which are smaller in width than the mouldings on the bumpers.
