changed engine oil from Mobil1 5W - 30 to Royal Purple 10w -40.
The result is pretty significant. While Mobil 1 seemed thinner in comparision and the engnie felt drained, i used to get 22mpg (city (30% and freeway 70%).
The RP oil feels different, just to the touch, more smoother and refined. of course this is no way to judge the quality of the oil, but RP's claims of synerlec technology seemed to hold bearing.
Now after i pour RP in, i take the car out to some spirited freeway driving. I decided to do highway driving in the 4th unless i had to pass someone. this alongwith some very high rpm, mountain driving (3rd, 2nd) along highway 1.
Anyways a tank refill showed a vast improvement at 25.6 mpg compared to when using Mobil1. this is amazing considering lot of freeway driving at 4000+ rpm in the 4th where gas consumption is higher than when at 5th.
As for power or the feel of smothness is definitely more noticeable especially when driving in the city. i would bet city and freeway mileage would give me atleast 2-3 miles better to the gallon. HP incease i will not comment without dynoeing the car, but shifting and pull of the car seems definitely smoother.

Why are you using mobil 5w-30? I'm using mobil 10w-40 so I'm trying to figure this out. Is it what the dealer told you to use? Would the RP 10w-40 be different from Mobil 10w-40? Sorry, I'm just a little lost on this. Reply would be appreciated, but if not don't sweat it. Also, Since you talk about RP so highly, I'd like to get some so where can I pick them up at? Thanks and have a nice day.
