Fred, ... what exactly went wrong??? I have the same car and have had my share of mishaps with the top. There is a "disengage" lever under your rear seats. It disconnects the motor and allows for only manual usage of the top (however the boot lid cover does not lock in the "down" position) Anyway, you can check to see if the motor has been disengaged by looking in the trunk
(behind the trunk liner) on the left side. You'll see the small motor and if the gear "mechanism" is showing- the motor has been disconnected. REconnecting is simple... just push the mechanism back into the motor. You should hear a click (make sure the "gear" is all the way in- requires a firm push). However, if you haven't pulled the lever you shouldn't have any problems. There could be damage to the cables in the boot lid, that operate the lid and top?? Need more info...

The fuses are all good. Is there a relay for the top? Is there suposed to be power going to the switch in the center console. Any idea will help. Thanks
