Clearly somthing has failed in my AC and is leaking. How do I detect this? you used a black light? I would like any info you may have and any suggestions you can make as to how and where to look for the problem. Thanks:)

just recharged the R-134 & lost it all in a day. The black light shws traces at the bottom corners of the condenser and all around the dryer top.
New condenser's $250 and the dryer's 57 bucks. Seems the nastiest part is you have to remove the front bumper to get the condenser out. After that it just seems to drop out with two top bolts. Dryer's pretty basic to get out. I can't see this being more than a few hours work for a garage. Add an hour to evacuate moisture & recharge & a kg of refrigerant & I don't see a total bill of more than $500, 600 max.
Where you guys are coming up with 1000-1300 bucks is beyond me. Are these dealer prices?
