Help! Discoloration on the inside of the headlight (archive)

I've got some kind of "film" growing inside my daughter's driver's side headlight and it appears to be on the inside of the assembly. Is there anyway that you can remove the lense or get to it from the inside by removing the lamps? The other lense also had the same problem but that was taken care of when it was replaced with a new one due to an accident.
Any thoughts is appreciated.
