In a word; Yes, the 325 has noticably more acceleration and power. I found they feel like completely different cars.

Pros of a 325 vs. a 318: more power. More "addrenalin rush". Experience one of the best engines in the world.

Cons of a 325 vs. a 318: Car is heavier: Many prefer the lighter weight/tossability of the 318. 325 takes premium; 318 regular. Maintenance slightly higher.

Try a 325. You may like it. Careful you don't fall for the quick rush the first few times you accelerate. Another easier and cheaper option is to go with a chip in yours.
