Thud sound when braking fixed (+) (archive)

To share with you all:

Sometimes when I hit the brake quickly there was a thud sound coming from under the dashboard. I thought somebody was not doing a good job when assembling my dashboard when I asked for AC service.

So I took the car to BMW shop back and they spent 2 days looking for the source. They replaced two of front-left bolt joints and then the sound was gone.

BTW, mine is a '93 E36/318i/M40.
