supersprint has a universal exhaust system. i believe a few of them are called "magnum". basically its a muffler with the tips and not the piping. so, you would have to go to a muffler shop to do the piping (the part that connects to the cats). it's a whole custom job which is not really in tuned to the performance side of things. it's more or less a compromised "muffler" to please every car out in the streets. so, that's why i mentioned to get something that is more specific to your (his/her) make because that's what you pay for. the research and developement rather than have a shop do their r&d in 30 minutes. hope that helps.

I was told that if the part no is different than what's SuperSprint recommends then there will be significant loss of power.

Don't buy the universal "Magnum" type for your E36.
