I was blown away when I sharked my car from stock with no other improvements four or five months ago. Later, I added an ECISCAI and AA exhaust, and wondered whether or not the chip was still doing me any good. To find out the answer, I unsharked my car last week and drove around in it, and immediately noticed a loss of power. Then I re-sharked it, and it had that urgent thrust again. There is a difference in acceleration that is objectively noticeable. Even the sound of the car is different with the shark -- much deeper growl, perhaps due to richer mixture = more combustion. The downside is that my fuel economy has decreased, and I experience more exhaust backfire.

In my opinion, it's the singlemost effective performance mod I have made to date.

For $399, all it seems to do is reprogram your computer to take the limit off the upper end. From what I have been reading it is useless for ordinary driving. It only seems to help at the upper REV area above 4500 to 6000.

These seem to be the only benefits:
1) increases rev limit from 6800 to 7000 (which would eventually burn out your engine.
2) remove the top speed limit of 128 but WHO DRIVES THIS FAST ANYWAY?
3) perhaps add a bit HP or Torque to the upper range of REVs 4500 to 6000, but the effect seems miniscule.

I decided against the reprogram.
For $400 the Cold air induction filters actually do work. I bought a knock off version and I love it.
