I've used this on leather seats in an '85 635. Softens pretty well. This website also calls out a "filler". Haven't tried that.

(Heard a recommendation on the softener: put it on, cover it with plastic wrap, and leave it for 72 hours. Said it can turn a dog's leather chew into a soft glove....... I put it on three times, and was impressed.)
