Theres a bolt on the power steering fluid reservoir, undo this and drain it into a container. Incidently make sure that your arms+torso are covered because getting powersteering fluid on your skin is very, very difficult to wash off and you smell of ATF fluid for about 3 days.


this is what i did on my 325 i
i syphoned the fluid out with a little hand pump that i got from autozone for a buck and then i filed it up with fresh fluid and then i filled it up and do this 4 times again the last time i did it the fluid came out pretty clean

I'd like to flush my power steering system on my '97 328iS. Is that huge bolt on the bottom of the steering rack the drain plug? Anybody done this before?
