Can anyone provide directions for the installation of the hardtop installation kit on a 96. Is it difficult?

It is not difficult. The installation kit ($130.00 at the dealer) comes with instructions. You will have to remove the back seat and rear panels to connect the wiring for the lights/defroster. That's the most difficult part.

I remember seeing it on one of the internet stores as a clearance item for like $50 bucks, the shop that has special clearance page, look thru all the regulars and find it.
