Late last year I test drove a full sized C200 kompressor (4cyl obviously, but still very good), with a 6 speed manual gear box. It had about the same power as a 323i as I recall. That car was a real joy to drive, although the gears were a bit rough, but not at all like the MBZ boats of old. Anyway, I don't think there is a better looking small sports sedan than the new C class and their compact looks even better. Way ahead of the E46 in the looks department!
