because offset is something you don't wanna slack on. i have heard a couple urban legends of people interchanging fwd and rwd wheels, and parts breaking as a result. extra time and even more $$ is spent in the end.I wasn't aware the offset on a 318 was so high. are you sure it isn't 37? although some people don't get the correct offset(give/take 3 mm) they may drive safely and hope all goes well. however, i cannot stress enough how disastrous it could be to use fwd wheels on a rwd car.
