Why is it a problem to push in the clutch to start the car? Most cars require the clutch to be depressed to start. That prevents starting the car in gear and possibly hitting something or someone when starting. There is a switch on the clutch pedal assembly, you could short the two wires together to eliminate that safety feture. I personally would not do it. Every manual trans. vehicle I have ever started began with pushing the clutch in.
ive driven lots of other e36's from 92 325, to 99 m3. none of these need to have the clutch down in order to start the car. ive even driven other 97's that didnt need the clutch down. what gives????oh, btw, its a 97 328is, and i think the production date is late 96
