has anyone heard tones while driving? I have heard (archive)

3 tones (sounds) right in a row while driving (94 325is) I know it's not the warning chimes (low temps, or speed limiter). There is no error or warning on the OBC.....When I check the OBC, the control responds with control check o.k. The doors are not ajar etc...
Any advise would be helpful
