Best/worst year for 325ic? (archive)

It may be time to dispose of my trusty 525i (sniff, sniff) and get an e36 325ic 5speed. Anyone have any suggestions for years and/or features to avoid or look for? General price ranges? The car will probably live its life in the southwest, so air conditioning issues are especially crucial. Thanks in advance.
