Just purchased a '95 325is. It had 2 "posts" screwed into the floor. These would have gone thru a floormat with holes in it. However, it did not come with mats. Purchased new mats from a dealer, it had some velcro pads that screwed into the holes in the floor when I removed the posts that were already there. There was the matching velco pads on the bottom of the mats.

So, to answer your question, yes, those holes are in your mat so that they can be screwed into the floor. But I have no idea what years/models had them, etc. And it appears that BMW was now gone to a velcro approach.

I'd be happy to send you my "posts" as I have no need for them now. Not sure if you have the holes for them to screw into tho. If you do, let me know, you can have mine.

My front rugs each have a plastic hoe in the front, as if they are supposed to hook onto something, but there is nother thee for them to hook on to. What is it for?
