Isn't the 740IL a V8??? (archive)

But not by much. 740IL gave me a run. Was just passing slowly on left. Didn't think anything about it because I've never seen a 'boat' type BMW driver race.
He stayed on my tail.. 40, 50 60 as the the speed limit increased on the way out of town.
So I nail it, and he did to. Damn think stuck with me until 130, when I finally started to pull away. At 160 I only had 3-4 cars lengths on him. I think the spoiler and lowering gave me the edge enought to pull away at high speed.
Thing is pretty fricken fast for a 4000?+ lb car.
