I can't resist not responding cause I was in you shoes when I was 17. I know exactly how you feel. I only wanted a BMW, but couldn't do a damn thing about it so I rolled in my Dodge Stratus for two years hoping that things would change for the better, and so they did. Business was booming and at 19, I traded in the Stratus for a 99 M3. If I were you, I'd save like a mother and possibly set my sights on an E30 M3. Awesome car with enough power and it's value will hold steady, if not appreciate over time. Whichever way you go about it, the good days are coming.
