the allure of 'top-speed' driving. My personal feeling is that the most entertaining driving is at speeds 80mph and lower. For me at least it is much more enjoyable pushing the limits at lower speeds. Does the M3 not handle excellently and accelerate well at speeds less than 70mph? Driving twisty roads at speeds of 50-80mph are a lot of fun. I can see long sweeping turns at 100+ would be kind of fun, but I don't see myself pushing a car to 10/10ths at that kind of speed (legal or not) the way you would a lower speeds. Buying an M3 to cruise the autobahn at high speed would be waste in my opinion - that is what the 7 series and S-Class are for, hell, even a Caddy can do that well.
