Just below 50k , I don't think so that would be a rip-off....why ? The new E46 M3 is a complete different car tahn the E36 M3. So the price increase from E36 M3 to E46 M3 and Z3-M to new Z3-M (with euro-engine) can't be compared the same way. Just a thought, since the Z3 doensn't change much except getting a new engine.

: read the archives on the Z3 board, but the Euro engine (supposed to be the E46 M3 engine) is going into the M roadster next fall for the US...sinc base MSRP of the M roadster now was about 4k more than the M3, I am guessing base MSRP on the 01 M roadster to be just under 50k
