It would be way to expensive to produce all different forms of similar car. Look at ford Ls jag plus many more to share SAME PLATFORM. BMW does not have the recourses to make 5 or 6 ALL new car the same size and in the same market segment -- it is just not logical! However, I think it WILL have some neat features such as hood fender air intakes, but nothing that is not ALREADY feasible in a Ci.
