: Most Vipers on the road are totally stock while I do not know one ZTT that is. Plus how can you compare a Dodge (makers of the Dart) to fine Japanese or German engineering. A stock $60K piece of American crap gets plowed by any Z, Supra, or RX7 with $2000 worth of mods. Not just beat but rolled over. Great engineering at Dodge huh, an 8 liter engine that puts out 400hp stock. That's 50hp/liter right? I think Honda Civics get that don't they? In a recent article praising the measley Honda S2000 2 liter 240hp engne, they stated that if the Dodge Viper put out the same hp/liter it would come out of the factory stock with 960hp. Your car couldn't make it down a street without a push if it was running on the same 3 liters that mine is. The only American machinery worth driving are the C5's. Granted there are Vipers out there with 650hp packages but how rare is that. Didn't Hennessy go out of business because they kept blowing up Vipers with their 650 package. When your car bursts into flames let's see how fast you go. How much did that 600hp cost ya? I figure $60K for a decent Viper and a $25K upgrade package and what do you have to show for it, some low to mid 11's on the quarter mile. Guess what, I am on stock turbos, stock internals, and no NOS and am only a good set of tires away from 11's. How's that feel? Still want to compare? Your 600hp car only drops 75hp/liter now. My 3 liter has 460hp as of Wednesday which puts me at about 154hp/liter. That's a little more that twice your output/liter ain't it and the ZTT isn't even Nissan's flagship car. The Skyine is. I have personnaly witnesses an 1100hp Skyline drop 8's in the 1/4 mile, where are the 8 second Viper's? I saw a stripped out Z with Skyline engine throw down 7's at the track...Viper couldn't do 7's with any amount of work. Since there are no competetive Skylines in the US now, let's compare some daily driven street cars. I know a guy with 1400 hp to the wheels in his Supra that can only get 9's at the track because he breaks the traction barrier every time he floors it. Race him on a highway and get treated like a stepchild. Now you might be a little angry with the facts but hey, no one made you throw your money away. Enough about other people's cars, how about you and me get on a highway and put ours to the test. It's a situation I can't lose. Either I you get spanked and go home wondering why a $12K Jap car killed you as you try to find the reciept to return your car or you edge me out and win by some miniscule amount and you can go home proud that $85K worth of American inginuity just squeaked by a Japanese econo-box. One thing's for sure, I'll ENJOY THE RIDE.

go to some drag racing board. The Viper also pulls more than 1 g lateral acceleration and was built for roadracing not drag racing. It is not that I particularly love the Viper but your car is also faster than a Modena--again I say so what--I will take the Ferrari thank you very much.

KJK 91 M5 (way slower than your car but I would still rather have it)
