I'm #1 on my dealer's list, but when I signed up they didn't ask what color I wanted. If I could request a color now, it would be a real vibrant, rich, candy-apple red with a gold trim package and a tan/beige leather interior. I can picture the car (based on the available photos) with this look and I think it would be awesome! I hope they have something similar when they introduce the car. I don't want "bright red" or "carmine red," I want a unique and distinctive, but flashy red.

Also, I hope they have more than one wheel choice as I don't really like the "spoked wheel" on the Frankfurt show car. It's too similar to the '99 wheel and the 2000 M5.

: when I put my deposit down salesman asked what color I wanted. Of course he said he didn't know what would be available. so I'm like, why are we having this discussion. He says BMW wants to get an idea what people want.

: this seems like an undisciplined way of doing research. don't they have focus groups or ask current m3 owners for direction? For the record, I said blue. Just wondering if anyone else was asked.
