A lot of people here on the board are raving about the new M3 that we
all haven't even seen. I believe this is due to brand recognition and our
desire for wanting it. If that's the case, aren't we all doing ourselves a
disservice by even guessing as to the pricing of the car and its
ridiculous demand before the car even exist. Apart from making
cars with symbolic performance achievements, BMW is no dummy.
They are in the business of making money and creating an image for
a product that has yet to be build. Aren't we all fueling into this
level of demand where supply still is nilch. Come on guys, wise up.
As long as this continues, we are playing into its hands. Don't for one moment
that BMW does not read the posts of this board and come to the
conclusion based on our guessing of its pricing and our ravings
by then setting a price based on demand rather than on value.
I for one know its gonna be a good car, but setting bogus demand on
it before there's pricing or its existence is akin to "take my money,
I demand the holy grail of M3s regardless of how much its gonna
cost me".
