BMW is not going to set price based on this board, to do so would be insane. The people here represent only a very small population of M3 buyers. And we're the most die-hard, gotta have it now, M3 fans. Price will be a fuction of cost and predicted sales thoughout the life span of the car. Yeah, people will being willing to pay MSRP at first, maybe more in some cases, until supply eventually catches up with demand. This happens with a lot of new cars. I heard quite a few stories about how much the new Beetles were going for at first. Some people were buying them just to resell them at a higher price. My brother couldn't get a deal on a Ford Expedition when they first came out because there were to few of them on the lots. If BMW were to set the M3's price at 55K just because a handfull of people here said they would pay it I would highly advise you to sell any BMW stock you have immediatly.
