: NSX's aren't THAT fast. They've been around long enough and the used ones have gotten cheap enough, that some people do buy them and tweak them with aftermarket performance gear. You may have run into one of those.
I'm #2 at my dealer for a 2001 M3, but have never owned a BMW. I've had a bunch of Porsches, though, and have had 4-5 opportunities over the years to challenge an NSX on the road. I have never been able get one to bite, and so I consider most NSX drivers to be weenies.
