What is most important is what you personally think. I happen to think my "body worked Honda Civic", hehehehe is more involving than a current generation M3. If you happen to disagree, fine. I would just like to point out the fact to you that most motor journalists, at least here in Europe, home of the 321 hp M3 agree with me. They prefer a car with more sensation and involvement than the M3 offers. At least if the purpose of the car is to entertain through fast driving. Of course for A to B transport, comfort, low noise levels, etc. are most important. Every man has his own set of priorities.

Ok, I admit it, I have never actually driven a M3 myself. I base my views on what I have read in the motoring press. Most writers agree that the M3 is a fast drive, but not entertaining enough because it isolates you from the action.

Your final statement about people paying more for a 4 year old M3 than for a new Type R exposes your mentality more than anything else. You are obviously one of many who feels snob appeal is one of the most important coniderations when choosing a car. I suggest you take a look at a Rolls Royce or Bentley. People will pay a lot more for them than for an M3 and we both know why.

Finally an Integra Type R is not a body worked Honda Civic. I have first hand knowledge of this, since I used to own a 1997 Civic.

Hooster
