This may all come down to a difference between European and American taste in cars. I mainly read Car magazine and Performance Car, both from the UK. I am not sure if these are even available in the USA.

I am convinced that for very many people the M3 is a great car. Personally I hold the M3 in very high regard. It just happens that I personaly have slightly different taste. I am sure we can all live with that.
