370 hp / 272 kW from 3.2 litre capacity on the BMW '3 Coup�: With a Concept Car trimmed for
maximum sports, AC Schnitzer (Neuenhofstr. 160, 52078 Aachen, Germany, Tel: 0241/5688130, Fax:
0241/5688135, Internet: http://www.ac-schnitzer.de) demonstrates the possibilities of professional
tuning on the two-door car from the E46 model range.

Specially for this study, AC Schnitzer developed a high performance engine with 3.2 litre capacity.
After extensive modifications, the AC Schnitzer engine powers 370 hp / 272 kW at 7900 rpm and 380
Nm of maximum torque.

High engine output is one important element, but a fast car should be also as light as possible. For
that reason, AC Schnitzer furnishes this study with a light-weight cockpit with leather-trimmed Carbon
racing seats and many more accessories which are directly derived from racing.

The bodywork of the '3 Coup� is also modified in many details and is designed for maximum
downforce, too. The AC Schnitzer aerodynamics kit contains a complete, particularly sporty styled
AC Schnitzer front apron with integrated fog lights, a roof spoiler, a diffusor, which is integrated into
the rear fascia, and an adjustable rear wing.

The chassis of the AC Schnitzer Concept Cars is consequently set up for optimal handling. For it
there is used the height-adjustable AC Schnitzer racing suspension in conjunction with special
anti-roll bars and strut-tower bars on front and rear axle.

In addition there are fitted the AC Schnitzer racing wheels Typ III which are polished using a special
process. In the dimensions 9Jx19 front and 9.5Jx19 rear they allow the use of high performance tyres
of the sizes 245/35 ZR 19 and 275/30 ZR 19.

The AC Schnitzer Concept Car is designed as a technology demonstrator of the AC Schnitzer tuning
programme for the BMW '3 range. There are no plans for a serial production of this car. .
