I believe you, I hope you are right, but I don't think my opinion is bull.
Consider the 330i planned for 3l and 220hp, which will give it 0-60 in 6.0 seconds. I had thought for sure they would have put something out more powerful, given competition from audi, lexus, etc. But guys on that board insisted it would be 220hp BECAUSE bmw would not want the 330i to encroach on the market space of the EXISTING m3's 0-60 time which you know is 5.7.
But maybe what was true in that case won't be true in this one and any overlap of m3/ m5 performance data will be seen as irrelevant. As I said, I hope you are right.
