Please don't take this as a contradiction because from following this list I consider you to be one of the most knowledgable people on the list but I did get this info straight from the dealer, and we talked at length about how his customers on the list were very upset because they still don't have their X5's and they did have 2 X5's on the lot at the time. The only way he could have been wrong is if his higher-ups ordered without consulting him. Well, that is my run-on-sentence for the evening. Take care.

: The same thing (arbitrary exterior colors and options being sent to dealers- i.e. no choices on first cars) was said when the M roadster and M5 were introduced and it was not true. Even the first E46 M3s will be spec'd to customer wants.
