Weather will be fine in August. Only problem is that August is vacation month for all of Europe. Autobahn is usually pretty packed with people traveling the roads. And you better make hotel reservations now, if it is not already too late. September and October are great for driving as well. One good thing about picking up the last two weekends and first weekend of October in Munich is that is when Oktoberfest happens. Lots of fun.

: I have #1 for my M3 as well and want to take Euro delivery. However, I wonder whether the weather in Euro (Sept? Oct?) will allow pleasurable driving during that time.

: Of course, if we got the cars 6 weeks earlier than Sept. delivery (end of summer), that would be awesome, a no-brainer. :-) August driving in Europe. Mmmm....
