Don't worry the weather will be fine in September or October. In October we see a lot of rain and grey skies but you won't have to worry about snow. September of 1999 was great. Still warm and sunny for much of the month. I couldn't believe how long our summer was last year. By the way I live in Heidelberg which is a few hours north of Munich. Good luck, I'm looking forward to my M3 during the same time frame.
