M3 vs. M5 (archive)

I know, I know, ths is a M3 board and these are totally different cars. This is just an anecdote I witnessed at BMW San Diego yesterday.

I returned from lunch with my salesman friend who was accosted by a 30-ish guy in the lobby. This guy bought the M5 last week from the owner who did not want to sell until the guy offered $15K cash over invoice! The guy was now not happy with the M5 because it is "too big."

So, he plunked down $1K to join the M3 list.
