: I had lunch with my "fleet" BMW guy yesterday who, by the way, is #1 on the SD wait list. His opinion is probably no better than any of ours but he does at least read this forum! He gave me a rousing pep talk about how the new M3 would not exceed 42-43K base price. We reviewed the new model refresh/intros in the past three years and none exceeded $1500 over the previous, including the 740i ($900). I know he was also cheering himself up because he states strongly that if it exceeds 45k he will have to drop out for a while.

: BTW he just completed a 30-car sale to Budget (including 10 M roadsters!) so group purchases are his thing. He said it is IMPOSSIBLE to imagine such for M3--no dealer could get the cars and BMW will not deal direct.

: I moved from #14 to #8 in two weeks due to others already dropping out.
