I am NOT sorry by any means about the new M3 being such a world beater. Geesh, it certainly makes for fantastic daydreaming. You paint a picture of a car that will be an absolute landmark and one that I would want to own (as usual) for decades. I only hope it turns out to be hard to break. My reservations probably just arise from my conservative upbringing telling me that I don't actually "deserve" a car as fine as you describe and that I should perhaps find a compromise. That's why in 1971 I bought a 914-6 instead of a 911 and then regretted it. AT least it led me to the '02 tii.

Over the weekend, my wife convinced me to knock it off and enjoy it! Even if it is only speculation at this point...
