Your right. Recent Automobile mag discussed the GT3. Twice the price of the M3. GT3 is pretty much in race trim with no frills, no airbags, lowered suspension, lightweight seats, and a modified engine that gives similar HP to the new turbo 996. If I recall correctly, the GT3 is not scheduled for import to the US (price close to the turbo) and will only be available in limited numbers.

E46M3 vs stock 996 will be a more realistic comparison.
