: What makes you think BMW reads the blather on this board? By all means, convince them to charge much less. MSRP base of E36M3 was officially $39,700 until factory shut down in April 1999. A healthy 10% (more than 7X all other model increases in the past three years) would be $43,670.

BMW does read this board. A few months ago I explained the memory seats on the E46 board, and made one mistake. A BMW executive called me from New Jersey to kindly explain my mistake. He said he reads the board from time to time. We are being heard!
