There was a previous posting from a German auto magazine that listed the M3 E46 tires. "18-inch wheels (front 8J with 235/40-tires, rear 9J with 275/35 tires). Although we can never be sure until the car is actually released.

: : I have a question for whoever went and saw the new M3. How wide are the rear tires?? Are they very wide, are they huge like the vipers??? I am dying to know, because wide tires also play a role with 0-60 time
