the first week of PRODUCTION for the US cars is suppose to be the first week of Sept 00. If true cars could arrive mid to late Oct. When I put my deposit down in early Dec., the sales manager showed me a memo from BMW to that effect. I hhave yet to hear or see anything to contradict that, in fact most reports validate it. So, early summer those who put down a deposit will be invited in to specify their order (color, options, so on).
