Back in the summer I posted a message on the E46 3-series board complaining that my air conditioning didn't cool my car very well. A BMWNA rep called me at home, saying that "you contacted us on the bimmer.org message board", to suggest that I use recycled air. Of course, they can only contact you in that type of situation if you use your real full name so they can look you up in their customer database.
