Who know's maybe you will be rewarded with a V8 engine in ur M3!! (BMW like any company has secrets, they wont tell you even if they are planning it. So unless you work for the BMW engineering department, your opinions about V8's unlikeliness is baseless. We just dont know.)

: There will NOT be a V8. Rick Key has different hunches, but my reporting is based on facts.

Hi Bruce, the ole V8 controversy raises its big ugly head again. My speculation is based on some old friends of mine in Germany that work for a BMW supplier (I spent 3.5yrs there driving an 1802 and 3.0CSL ... man I miss that). Not completely hunches but no hard facts either ... I would call it informed speculation. There are the facts out there such as BMW saying the new M3 will be released with an inline 6 ... however I have not seen a single statement that the M3 will definately never have a V8 either ... and I dont imagine they would say that. Anyways I agree with pretty much everything else you have in your response ... but he is right ... in a couple years you will be saying "wow I could have had a V8". LOL
